The Unforgiving

This painting is a mixed media piece from my ongoing sketchbook series, exploring the uncertainty and emotional turbulence of life as someone navigating the unknown. It reflects the instability and unforgiving nature of this stage.

The work combines printmaking, a sketch of a house I saw during a trip to Paris, and an acrylic painting designed to resemble a Polaroid. Each element representing fragmented moments of memory and questioning. Hand stitched into the canvas is red leather string.

At the bottom, handwritten text reads:
“I want it to go away, but will it come back? Where do I go from here? Will you miss the unforgiving?”
